Welcome to our site! Stellar Charter School employs a Personalized Learning model of education to develop an individualized program of study for every student, melding "hands-on" educational opportunities through technological resources and a dedicated, committed staff of talented teachers and parents who wish to empower their students to become self-motivated, competent, life-long learners.
Stellar High School is fully accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and maintains an a-g list of courses approved by the University of California.
Enrollment in all grade levels (K-12) is limited to assure small class sizes and a quality program of education.
Stellar Charter School offers three flexible plans of study. Students and parents may select one plan or any combination of the following options:
1) Half time home study/half time on site classes;
2) Full time home study;
3) On-line Learning (OdysseyWare).
All students work directly with a teacher of record in all of the above listed plans of study.
Additionally, we have many electives and community activities to offer. Students may choose to work in the community at Shasta State Historic Park as a history docent, or at Coleman Fish Hatchery or Turtle Bay as an On-Scene Science Docent. Some electives Stellar offers include videography classes, Spanish (all grade levels), art lessons, violins, recorders, guitar lessons, photography, and sewing. Or choose your own elective!
Many field trips and camping opportunities round out the exciting and varied curriculum Stellar has to offer. For registration information, call 530-245-7730, or e-mail us at this web-site.
